Allah's Name Al-Qadeer-The Ever-Able
Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and companions.
❁ He is Al-Qadeer (The Ever-Able):
Allah is over all things competent
Al-Baqrah: 20
And it is He Who is the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful (i.e. Able to do all things).
Ar-Rum: 54
He is Al-Qaadir The Able
"Say, "He is the [one] Able to send upon you affliction
Al-'Anam: 65
He is Al-Muqtadir (The Perfect in Ability)
…so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability
Al-Qamar: 42
Allah says
: "In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability."
Al-Qamar: 55
Almighty Allah tells us about Himself in the Quran: "The All-Knowing, The All-Able," "Allah is over all things competent."
Meanings and Denotations of Allah's Name Al-Qadeer:
1- Al-Qadeer (The Ever-Able) has the absolute, perfect and complete ability and power. It is a limitless, endless power, so nothing can escape Him in the earth or heaven.
2- He is the One who creates with the word "Be," if He wants anything to exist, He just says "Be" to it.
3- His great might and power is represented in the creation and resurrection, to Him creation and resurrection of all people is like that of a single soul.
He is above all things competent and Able, He does what He wills, when He wills it, how He wills it, and at any time He wills it.
He has created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days without any tiredness.
He holds the heavens and the earth, lest they cease, and it is not difficult for Him to preserve them, He holds the heavens from falling on earth, except if He permits.
He revives the earth after its death, and he revives the hearts of his servants by knowing, worshiping and remembering Him.
4- Almighty Allah is able to make His creation do what He wants them to do willingly.
5- They cannot do anything except that which Almighty Allan enables them to do.
6- People should never believe that the absolute and complete power can be owned by the dead or the magicians, if so this means they are affirming the attribute of might to others than Almighty Allah which is a kind of shirk (association other partners with Allah)
7- Whoever thinks that he has the absolute power to subjugate the earth, Allah sends down His command and destroys this person and his deed.
Worshipping Allah by His Name Al-Qadeer:
Allah's Name Al-Qadeer enables the servant to ask Allah to bless him with what is beneficial and drive away what is harmful, for only Allah has the absolute power, no servant can do anything except that which Allah enables him to do, as there is neither power nor might for any servant except from the Lord. Praise be to Him!
It is not imaginable that a servant asks another servant for something that only the Ever-Able Lord can do it, even if the person they ask is one of the Lord's most obedient and righteous people. What is even more uglier is when some ask the dead for their needs! How come someone asks a dead person to fulfill his needs or remove harm, while they cannot do anything for themselves, let alone others!
How would someone seek an evil magician to benefit him or remove harm from him and abandon supplying to His Lord, The Almighty, The Praiseworthy!
